Celebrate International Women¹s Day--Join Welfare Warriors Photo Bus Tour of Milwaukee's $120 MILLION Child Protective Empire

Join women in 60 countries celebrating International Women¹s Day and the 10th annual Global Women¹s Strike Against Low Pay, No Pay and Overwork on March 9, 2009 from 11 am 1:30 PM.

Welfare Warriors Photo Bus Tour will explain and expose Milwaukee¹s Bloated Bureau of Child Welfare EMPIRE. Learn about its Agencies, Courts, Therapists, and Non-Profits who endanger children's lives and destroy families while guaranteeing their own well-funded life styles. Meet at Welfare Warriors Mothers Organizing Center, 2711 W. Michigan before 11 AM

The International Women¹s Day Photo Bus Tour will visit some of the 325 private vendors and public bureau who are recipients of $120 MILLION in state Bureau funding who too often fail to properly implement Child Abuse Statutes, thereby endangering children.

The recent torture of two Milwaukee babies in foster care and the death of the youngest infant have exposed a serious failure of the Bureau of Child Welfare to properly place and monitor children separated from parents. These failures, as well as the economic incentives for unjust removal and detention of children from safe homes, will be addressed in the Welfare Warriors Photo Bus Tour of Milwaukee¹s costly child protective empire. The Tour will also address the Children's Court Child Welfare system which operates in secrecy and fails to hold trials or evidentiary hearings, thereby denying the mothers and children access to any legal defense.

Bring your camera and video equipment.  The photos will later be used to produce a poster explaining the problem. Call 414-342-6662 to RSVP

As a result of TANF welfare¹s 1) increase in family homelessness 2) increase to 1.7 million individuals with zero income 3) increase in moms unable to leave batterers, and 4) a general increase in professionals preying on the poor, families headed by single moms in poverty have become increasingly vulnerable to CPS / Child Welfare agencies¹ unnecessarily tearing their families apart. Few Americans know about this.  Here¹s a song that explains how and why it happens.

The Mother and the Child
Sung to the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell"

The mother and the child
The mother and the child
Watch Child Welfare tear the mother from the child

The Social Workers say
That mama¹s not okay
Based on their bigotry they take the child away

The Case Worker Gangs
Judge moms in petty ways
They damn our families to guarantee their pay

The G. A. L and judge
The P.D. and D.A.
These lawyers go along to guarantee their pay

The mother and the child
Will cry and beg and pray
But the professionals alone will have a say

The therapists and shrinks
Will also have their day
Watch how these "experts" guarantee their obscene pay

The supervising "Team"
Of tearful visits say
"We can¹t unite the famly cuz we¹d lose our pay"

Mom¹s mandatory groups
On parenting and rage
That¹s how the not-for-profits guarantee their wage

The child misses mom
For each and every day
So the professionals can guarantee their pay

This costly welfare scam
Drains billions from our pay
While the community is kept out of the fray

The mama stands alone
The child stands alone
Let¹s help the mamas now that all these facts are known
